Schedule & Work Location
- Flexible scheduling with full-time or part-time options
- Ability to work at both East and West El Paso locations as needed
- Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays
Job Summary
University Vision Centre is seeking a Full-Time Optometrist to join our growing practice in El Paso, TX. This opportunity is open to new graduates and experienced optometrists alike. Whether you are fresh out of optometry school or a seasoned provider, we offer a welcoming environment, clinical support, and flexibility to help you thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments
- Diagnose and manage ocular disease and refractive conditions
- Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and other vision correction solutions
- Utilize diagnostic technology and imaging equipment to support clinical decisions
- Collaborate with optometric technicians, scribes, and optical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Educate patients on eye health, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using a virtual scribe system
- Provide high-quality, ethical, and patient-focused eye care
Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry program
- Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Texas (current licensure preferred but not required)
- Open to new graduates and experienced optometrists
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to excellent patient care
- Comfortable learning new technology and clinical systems (training provided)
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player in a fast-paced clinical setting

- Modern diagnostic and imaging equipment
- Virtual scribe system to support documentation and improve work-life balance
- Training provided on all software, systems, and equipment
