This position involves working 3x12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend coverage is required, including Saturday and Sunday. Charge RN shifts may also be necessary as needed. Eligible candidates must have previous travel experience. Experience with a patient ratio of 5-6 is preferred. The unit provides care to adult and geriatric orthopedic patients, along with medical-surgical patients. Telemetry monitoring is available for patients. The department includes a physical therapy gym that enables patients to receive on-site therapy. High volume patient populations include those undergoing total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties. Moderate volume patient populations include various surgical procedures and inpatient medical observations. Compliance with facility policies regarding tardiness and attendance is mandatory. Candidates must be prepared to complete a Pass/Fail EKG exam as a requirement prior to placement. Floating to different units may be required based on patient needs. The ideal candidate should possess skills in various nursing procedures, including wound care and IV management. The role demands strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
