Job Description As a Security Officer Credential Validation in Manteno, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain accurate access records. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.16 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas. Control entry and exit of vehicles and pedestrians in accordance with site requirements, reporting unauthorized access attempts and unusual activity to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established security-related protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements: A guard card or license is preferred. Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
