ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST

Environmental Scientist (Permanent Intermittent) The reporting location for this position is Henry Cowell Redwoods SP in Felton, CA. This position will work under the direction of Senior Park and Recreation Specialist. The Environmental Scientist (PI) is responsible for park planning, monitoring, management, and restoration activities within the Santa Cruz District park and trail systems. The position is expected to work on and lead District projects related to trails, planning and natural resource management including management plans, visitor use studies, trail plans, general plans, environmental review, community and stakeholder outreach, coordination with partners, acquisition, project design, project permitting, and construction monitoring. Training and Development Assignments may be considered. Possession of a valid Class C driver's license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment. This position may work up to 1500 hours in any calendar year. This position is designated as not telework eligible. State housing is not available.
