Control Panel TechnicianThe Control Panel Technician is responsible for the wiring and final assembly of control panels, including panel layout, part assembly, testing, and wiring.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesWire and assemble control panels quickly and accurately while following schematics and meeting quality standardsOperate hand and power tools necessary for wiring, assembly and related activitiesMaintain a clean and safe work environmentReview work to ensure accuracy of wiring, assembly and build qualityMay require the operation of forkliftCrate completed panels for shipmentInfrequent travel may be required to make panel changes or to assist with system commissioningKnowledge and Skill RequirementsEducation in electrical field or the controls industry field (experience in related field may be substituted for formal education)Good work ethicComputer skills and ability to read electrical drawingsTechnical aptitudeAbility to work with toolsWillingness to learnPreferred QualificationsAssociates degree or certificate in electrical, controls or related technical program requiredExperience in a related field may be substituted for formal education if the experience is specifically relevant to the positionPreferred CharacteristicsAbility to build effective relationships that are focused on integrity and trustAn attitude of dedication to achieve professional successA focus on serving internal and external customers with respect, understanding, and empathyAbility and willingness to recognize the intrinsic value of every personDrive and curiosity to explore new technology and innovation for continued growth and improvementPhysical Abilities/Work EnvironmentIncludes but is not limited to the following:Stooping, standing, lifting, gripping & finger mobilityOccasionally exerting up to 20-50 pounds of forceRegular use of power drills and/or operate machine, and ability to inspect small parts,Potential exposure to noise and hazards such as moving mechanical parts and electrical current
