Senior Job‑Shop CNC Milling Machinist
If you thrive on variety over volume, this role is for you. We’re a job shop—not a production line—seeking a seasoned machinist to take ownership of set up and operation on Haas CNC milling centers.
Role snapshot- Environment: Custom, low-volume job shop (not production)
- Core Focus: Precision machining via Haas CNC mills—from setup through safe, accurate operation
- Experience: 5–10 years hands-on; deep Haas setup/operation know-how (experience with HAAS is a plus)
- Set up, adjust, and operate basic through advanced machine tools to produce precision parts
- Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines
- Use overhead cranes to position heavy components safely
- Monitor feeds/speeds and make edits as needed during machining
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine operation sequences, fabrication methods, dimensions, and tolerances
- Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials to prepare work
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team; minimal supervision required
- Expertise reading and applying engineering prints and GD&T concepts
- Proven judgment in tool selection and workholding
- Ownership mindset, initiative, and reliability
