Licensed Massage Therapist

Licensed Massage TherapistResponsible for performing multiple modalities of massage and body treatments for spa guests. They must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in the spa's specific massage and body treatment offerings. They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.The Remedy Massage Therapist will be passionate about wellness, customer service, and is an exceptional team player with a positive and professional attitude. Essential duties include:Perform a wide range of massage and body treatments including but not limited to; Swedish, deep tissue, sports and prenatal massage in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practicesObtain client health history through the use of client intake forms, assessing problems and conditions and consulting with clients about recommended treatmentsRecord detailed notes for all clients including contraindications, allergies, medications, formulations and treatment preferencesMaintain correspondence with clients by writing thank you notes following their visitParticipate in sales and marketing events both inside and outside the spa Regularly attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings for the spaStay up-to-date and educated on spa retail lines and actively promoting products to clientsBe able to provide accurate and detailed descriptions of treatments, packages, services, treatment contraindications, facility features and hours of operationsCompleting side work, open and closing duties as directed by the Department Head or ManagerBe on time for shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the serviceMaintain consistent, regular attendance recordBe flexible with schedule, according to needs of the spaProperly care for equipment and use proper amounts of productUphold standards of sanitation, sterilization, and cleanliness as directed by law and the spa's policies and proceduresEnsure adequate stock of supplies and equipment; inform management via proper channels when stock is lowCommunicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests that require attentionDedication to staying up to date on current licensing changes and abide by all rules and regulations associated with licensePosition requires a great deal of mobility, including walking, and lifting up to 20 lbsQualifications and Experience State of New Mexico Massage Therapy License Minimum 1 year experience as licensed massage therapist Flexible Schedule - (Weekends a must) Natural ability to sell and educate clients on products and treatments Spa experience a plus
