Job Summary:
This is a registered nurse position specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a facility located in Manchester, New Hampshire. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care in a 48-bed unit with an average census of 27. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day. The position requires work on a schedule of 12-hour shifts starting from 07/13/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Manchester, NH
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, scheduled every other week (EOW), with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license, ACLS certification, BLS certification, flexible with schedule to work EOW 12-hour shifts
• Unit Specifics:
  • Unit type: Medical Surgical with Telemetry
  • Staffing includes one unit secretary (7 am - 11 pm) and PCTs with a ratio of 1:10-15, occasionally with 1:1 coverage
  • Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts, automated blood pressure machines, bladder scanners, remote telemetry monitoring, vein finders, and documentation in Altera/Allscripts Sunrise
  • Unit practices include participation in daily multidisciplinary rounds (MDRs) on weekdays at 10:30 am to 11:15 am
  • Floating policy involves float to like Medical Surgical Telemetry units (D1, F2), with float pool and travelers typically floated first
• Required Skills and Experience:
  • Head-to-toe assessment and orthopedic care knowledge
  • IV medication administration including management of Lasix, heparin, IV push medications such as metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin (IV or subcutaneous)
  • Wound care, drain management, and vacuum-assisted closure (Vacs)
  • NGT/G tube care and parenteral nutrition
  • Central line management including PICC lines, Hickman (HD) catheters, and midlines
  • Foley, nephrostomy, and suprapubic catheter care
  • Ostomy care and postoperative patient care
• Additional Information:
  • New blood pressure machines
  • Excellent team atmosphere and established monthly UPC meetings
