About the Position

Looking for your next high-acuity Hospital Medicine assignment? We're seeking experienced ICU-capable Nurse Practitioners to join a collaborative hospital medicine team in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan . Openings are available for both day and night shifts on a convenient 7-on/7-off schedule .

Position Highlights

Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan
Specialty: Hospital Medicine – ICU Capable
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
7 On / 7 Off Schedule
49-bed hospital with a 6-bed ICU
Open ICU model – APPs manage ICU patients
Average daily census: 22 patients
Average admissions: 2–4 per day

Clinical Responsibilities

Providers should be comfortable managing critically ill patients and performing procedures including:

Endotracheal intubation & extubation
Ventilator management
Central venous catheter placement
Arterial line placement/removal
Chest tube insertion
Lumbar puncture
Moderate sedation
Paracentesis
Tracheostomy care
Temporary pacemaker management
Emergent management of tension pneumothorax

Requirements

✅ Experienced NP
✅ ICU management experience required
✅ BLS & ACLS certifications
✅ Case logs demonstrating 50 relevant procedures within the past 12 months
‍⚕️ Supervising physician available on call within 20 minutes
