Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician

Our client in California is seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 120-day assignment. The role involves covering clinic duties at two locations and hospital call at one facility, encompassing the management of high-risk deliveries, VBACs, outpatient procedures, and inpatient and surgical cases. Providers will benefit from a structured schedule, a comprehensive support team, and coverage for travel and malpractice expenses. Practice Info Covering clinic duties at two locations and hospital call at one facility Mix of Inpatient and Outpatient (Clinic and Call) Hospital with 191 beds and 25-30 Labor & Delivery rooms Patient Volume: Approximately 20 to 24 clinic patients per 8-hour shift; 3 to 4 deliveries per 24-hour call Staffing Mix: OB/GYN physicians, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners, Certified Nurse Midwives, Registered Nurses, two Medical Assistants per provider, Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator/Registered Dietitian for gestational diabetes management, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (remotely available), Ultrasonographer, Surgery scheduler, Health educators, and Translators EMR: Athenahealth, Cerner Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care across clinic and hospital settings Manage high-risk deliveries and Vaginal Birth After C-section (VBAC) cases Perform outpatient procedures including endometrial biopsies, Nexplanon insertion/removal, IUD insertion/removal, colposcopies, and LEEP procedures Execute inpatient and surgical procedures such as C-sections, D&C, laparoscopic or open hysterectomies, tubal ligations, polypectomies, myomectomies, and endometrial ablations Cover call duties at a hospital with 191 beds and 25-30 Labor & Delivery rooms Compensation Strong compensation Benefits Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Shift & Schedule 120-day assignment Monday through Friday clinic hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Approximately 5 to 6 monthly 24-hour calls Call Schedule: Approximately 5 to 6 24-hour calls per month, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., with a post-call day off Call is out of house Qualifications Board Certifications: Obstetrics and Gynecology
