Job Title: EMT Profession: Emergency Services Specialty: Emergency Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:45-07:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting License: NC EMT Certification required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (within 90 days of hire) Must-Have: 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center or a comprehensive stroke center. Previous experience in a high-volume emergency department. Ability to work in a team environment. Flexibility to rotate through all areas of the emergency department. Description: This position is for an EMT in an emergency department setting. The role is designed for those committed to providing high-quality emergency care. You will be part of a team that values collaboration and mutual support. The emergency department typically has a patient ratio of 4:1 and may increase to 7:1 for behavioral holds. Staff include available techs and unit clerks during both days and nights. Advanced equipment and monitoring systems will be utilized on this unit. Documentation is through a specific electronic health record system. You will need to be adaptable and ready to support various emergency department sections as required. The ideal candidate will advise and provide feedback to peers in real time. This department is known for its strong sense of teamwork and welcoming environment.
