Our team of 11,000+ colleagues from around the globe are vital to our success and the reason we're able to push boundaries in pursuit of better human health.Summary:To develop and manage the production schedule for manufacturing of research reagents, chemicals, and research consumables in a fast paced environment in a way that utilizes available forecast information to balance inventory, scrap and customer service level needs, while effectively utilizing lab resources.Core Duties and Responsibilities:Utilize ERP system, (SAP and SAP/APO) to develop near term and long term production plansUtilize SAP/APO to maintain forecast performanceUtilize SAP and SAP/APO to maintain proper stock levels in both local and international distribution sitesWork with manufacturing to maintain parity between costing and BOM/Routing changesTo develop initiatives to improve inventory, scrap and margin performanceMust work with Product Management to align build schedule with ForecastMust work with Product Management to align build schedule with New Product Introductions and margin commitmentsMust work closely with the sales team to expedite and capitalize on fast moving opportunitiesMust work with both domestic and international Customer Service groups to provide timely stocking updatesMust work with both domestic and international Customer Service groups to resolve order specific issuesIn addition to a firm understanding of fundamental planning concepts the position requires strong analytical and computer skills, including the ability to analyze data and structure reportsAdditional Responsibilities:May be cross training into other areas of planning/procurementMay require travel to other sitesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree2+ years of experience of production planning experience using an ERP system OR Associate degree4+ years of experience of production planning experience using an ERP system OR High school diploma or GED6+ years of experience of production planning experience using an ERP systemPreferred Qualifications:SAP experienceHigh level of skill using Excel and its related data tools.Proficient in PowerPoint & WordMS Access experienceAPICS or similar certification strongly preferredPrior Green Belt certification a plus.Compensation Range:The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $62,500 - $83,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company.
