Travel OR Charge Nurse

Overview Position: Travel OR Charge NurseLocation: Lewiston, MaineDepartment: OR/SurgeryShifts Available: Days and NightsPay: up to $1,657–$2,297 gross pay per week; equivalent to $41.44– $57.43 per hour.Assignment Length: 12 weeks Benefits Paid Weekly Additional $3/hour differential is paid on top of the base rate. Ensures safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulations and hospital policies. Manages staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments. Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development and performance. Assists with performance management and HR-related activities. Monitors supplies, equipment, and department readiness. Coordinates surgical services, patient flow, and care transitions. Addreses patient care concerns and escalates issues through the appropriate chain of command. Rounds with patients and families to support a positive patient experience. Provides direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing and patient care standards. Qualifications Current and valid state RN License Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required. PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current Previous supervisory experience, required. Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital Surgical OR setting, required.
