Competitive Intelligence Manager, Obesity Responsibilities Be a strategic thought partner to key collaborators across disease area, brand, corporate, and other cross-functional teams supporting Amgen’s Obesity team. Synthesize information from multiple sources to develop strategic insights and point of view on key competitive developments, implications to Amgen, and actions Amgen must take. Work in a highly cross‑functional manner and manage changing priorities across several key customers. Develop productive relationships with Global and Regional teams to define business problems and build integrated analysis plans based on standard methodologies. Apply structured problem solving to collect, analyze, and report competitive intelligence (CI) using primary and secondary data to generate meaningful insights. Articulate and educate customers on the impact of changing market dynamics from a CI perspective. Organize and facilitate strategic exercises and competitive simulations to generate competitive insights and company plans. Coordinate and facilitate CI collection at major medical conferences/congresses. Manage a network of primary data sources (vendors and Amgen employees) to enable effective project delivery. Assess the reliability of CI findings; maintain accuracy, relevance, and quality; communicate level of evidence to partners. Present regular in‑depth analyses and summaries with recommendations to key stakeholders. Work to grow competitive intelligence/strategy to support other functions. Abide by and strictly enforce Amgen’s CI Legal and Ethical Guidelines. Some travel (15–20%) required. Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree and 2 years of consulting and/or competitive intelligence experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of consulting and/or competitive intelligence experience OR Associate’s degree and 8 years of consulting and/or competitive intelligence experience OR High school diploma/GED and 10 years of consulting and/or competitive intelligence experience Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree (PhD/MS/MBA) focused on life sciences and business Experience in life sciences consulting work in Obesity Familiarity with the biopharma industry Relevant Obesity experience via prior project work and/or disease area knowledge Prior strategy/management consulting experience in biopharma (increasing responsibility) Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analyze data for critical business decisions Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills Evident project management skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
