Senior Account Manager (Soccer Partnerships) (Financial Services Client)

About the Role This role supports a team responsible for the strategic programme development of a client's global soccer partnership portfolio, including NWSL, MLS, USL clubs, and the US Soccer Federation. It sits within Octagon's client services function and operates at the intersection of sports/entertainment and experiential marketing. The position is part of a fully integrated team and works closely with the Experiences team and other internal and external partners. Key Responsibilities Lead Octagon's client business and day-to-day management of client programmes. Support day-to-day strategic planning, programme development/execution, and measurement for the client's various club team partnerships. Support the development of strategic plans, activation recommendations, finance trackers, budgets, and competitive documents, and support the development of clients' scopes of work. Contribute as a member of a fully integrated team dedicated to the development of the client's FIFA programme, including implementation and evolution of management routines across clients, internal agency teammates, cross-agency partners, property partners, and vendors. Work closely with the Experiences team to develop and activate programmes in support of clients' goals and objectives. Manage documents such as budgets, status reports, inventory tracking, and meeting agenda and notes. Required Experience & Qualifications 5-7 years of work with an agency, brand, or property on the development of integrated brand campaigns, specifically within global sports. Superior verbal and written communicator able to scale and adapt communications for a variety of audiences to optimally and succinctly articulate agency positioning and expertise. A strategic, collaborative approach to solving problems with ideas, with the ability to build relationships and influence a range of teams. Track record of success at cultivating positive agency, client, vendor, and property relationships. Strong organisational and leadership skills. Strategic problem solver who can see possible impacts of a decision on many projects. Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally and work weekends or holidays as needed; anticipated travel amount is 20-45%. A valid US passport is required. Workplace Headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (3 days a week in the office) in one of the office locations: Stamford, CT; New York, NY; Charlotte, NC; Los Angeles, CA; Chicago, IL; Miami, FL; or Atlanta, GA. East Coast working hours are a prerequisite. To the extent permissible by local law, Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Salary The base range for this position is $65,000 – 75,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
