Laboratory Technician I, Sanger, M-F 11am-7:30pm EST

Position Overview Laboratory Technician I, Sanger (Monday to Friday 11am-7:30pm EST) located in South Plainfield, NJ. Responsibilities Adhere to safety protocols and strict SOPs for sample handling, project processing, and documentation. Maintain cleanliness of the work area, wash labware, and manage biohazardous waste. Sort incoming samples and prepare sequencing templates, including amplification and PCR purification. Assist in purifying sequencing templates and loading samples onto sequencing machines. Communicate professionally with customers and other departments via email and phone. May work with automation platforms and, if necessary, overtime, weekends, or alternative shifts with advanced notice. Qualifications High School Diploma required; AAS Degree or equivalent laboratory experience preferred. 1+ year of laboratory experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Detail‑oriented, able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and learn new concepts quickly. Effective team player committed to goals; flexible and adaptable to changes; available Monday‑Friday onsite. Proactive and willing to work overtime when required.
