The Associate Director will drive planning, execution, and operational excellence across critical initiatives within a global oncology-focused organization.
You will partner with medical leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate evidence plans, advisory programs, launch readiness activities, and strategic priorities.
This position requires a balance of strategic thinking, project leadership, and hands-on execution to ensure complex initiatives move forward successfully.
You will help strengthen operational processes, improve collaboration, and create scalable approaches that support impactful medical strategies.

Accountabilities:

The Associate Director, Program Management Office, Global Medical Affairs will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-impact medical initiatives while improving operational effectiveness across global teams. This role will serve as a key partner to medical leadership by ensuring alignment, visibility, and execution of strategic programs.

• Lead cross-functional planning and execution of global medical affairs initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Develop, manage, and track integrated project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and critical activities.
• Drive the development and monitoring of integrated evidence plans and medical strategy initiatives.
• Coordinate advisory boards, thought leader engagement activities, launch planning efforts, and related medical programs.
• Facilitate communication and alignment between global medical leaders, franchise teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Organize and lead project meetings, including agenda preparation, documentation of decisions, action tracking, and follow-up management.
• Develop dashboards, trackers, reports, and presentations to communicate project progress, priorities, and outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, implement best practices, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure initiatives are executed in compliance with company policies, healthcare regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong program management expertise with experience in healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related environments. They should have the ability to manage complex initiatives, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively across global teams.

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in drug development, consulting, academia, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environments.
• 5+ years of experience in project or program management.
• Experience supporting Global Medical Affairs initiatives, including advisory boards, medical planning, evidence generation, or launch readiness activities.
• Strong understanding of hematology and oncology landscapes preferred.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong proficiency with project management tools and systems, including Smartsheet, MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience creating dashboards, trackers, reporting tools, and executive-level presentations.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships across global and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, ownership, and results-oriented mindset.
• PMP certification is a plus.
