We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a patient-focused healthcare team in Mitchell, South Dakota. This position offers the opportunity to treat patients in both an outpatient rehabilitation setting and home health environment, providing a diverse caseload and the ability to make a meaningful impact on patients' independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve daily living, mobility, strength, coordination, and overall independence.
• Provide treatment in both outpatient and home health settings as assigned.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment goals, home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and strategies to maximize functional outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and organizational policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure) in the State of South Dakota.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, rehabilitation techniques, and occupational therapy best practices.
• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation, home health, or a related clinical setting is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home health visits, if applicable.

Compensation

• $34.00 - $45.00 per hour (based on experience)
