Overview Position Title: Assistant Professor of Economics. Rank: Assistant Professor (tenure-stream position). Discipline: Economics. Department/School: Department of Economics and Finance, School of Management. Salary/Pay Rate: $85,000 - $95,000. Job Summary: This is a tenure-track position in economics. The candidate should be able to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, quantitative reasoning, and related subjects. The faculty are expected to maintain an active program of disciplinary research resulting in peer-reviewed publications and to participate in the life of the School, including committee work, student advising and support, and community outreach activities. The School of Management will be accepting applications for the fall 2027 semester. We welcome candidates who place a strong emphasis on quality teaching in a small classroom setting (typical class size fewer than 25 students). The expected course load is 21 credits per academic year, typically distributed as a 3:4 load. Applicants should have an active research agenda leading to high-quality peer-reviewed publications and presentations. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Minimum Qualifications Terminal degree in economics or a closely related field (Ph.D., or ABD with projected completion by December 2027). Professional experience is highly desirable. University pays 100% tuition only.
