Role Description The Financial Advisor role is a full-time, remote position focused on providing retirement and financial education to school district employees. On a day-to-day basis, the Financial Advisor will meet in person with individuals and groups to explain retirement plans, investment options, and basic financial concepts in clear, relatable terms. The role includes developing personalized financial and retirement strategies, reviewing existing plans, and recommending appropriate adjustments based on each employee’s goals and risk tolerance. The Financial Advisor will collaborate with district contacts to schedule educational sessions, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure that all guidance aligns with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. This position also involves ongoing professional development to stay current with financial products, regulations, and best practices in employee benefits education. Qualifications Strong skills in Financial Planning and Financial Advisory to assess needs and design appropriate strategies. Solid foundational knowledge in Finance and Investments to explain options and recommend suitable solutions. Expertise in Retirement Planning, particularly in employer-sponsored plans and public sector benefit structures. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in accessible language. Customer-focused mindset, strong ethical standards, and commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive client service. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage schedules, and maintain accurate records.
