Youth Support Counselor — Safe, Therapeutic Care
NYS Office of Children and Family Services
The Youth Support Specialist (YSS) works directly with court-placed youth, ages 12-20, in OCFS facilities to maintain a secure and emotionally safe environment. You will be part of a team ensuring youth movement, safety, and constructive engagement, while building professional relationships across diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities include one-to-one supervision when needed, active participation on a youth’s support team, handling conflict, implementing harm-reduction strategies, and #J-18808-Ljbffr NYS Office of Children and Family Services
