Mobile Diesel Mechanic

Mobile Diesel Mechanic Pay: $28 - $35 Per Hour Job Type: Mechanical Summary We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and skilled mobile diesel mechanic to join our repair team. In this role, you will handle a variety of repairs and diagnostics across diesel systems, ensuring high standards of maintenance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be experienced in using diagnostic tools and have a strong foundation in mechanical systems. Responsibilities Perform a wide range of fleet repairs and preventative maintenances, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication. Diagnose and repair systems such as ABS, braking, hydraulic, light engine, pneumatic, and other related systems. Utilize diagnostic software to assist with troubleshooting and efficient repair processes. Accurately document work time, service reports, and equipment status to ensure precise billing and record‑keeping. Operate a service truck to reach various customer locations, ensuring a professional presence and communication with customers. Responsible for decision‑making surrounding vehicle diagnostics and repairs. Perform other duties as assigned, including managing warranty submissions and part storage for reimbursement. Qualifications 3 years of experience performing repairs on diesel systems and using diagnostic software for troubleshooting. Strong mechanical skills with proficiency in advanced diagnostics, overhaul, and repair of all vehicle components and systems. High School diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification highly valued. Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred; Class B CDL License with Air Brake Endorsement is an asset. Strong verbal and documentation skills, with the ability to work well with others and maintain professional relationships at all levels. Must own basic tools required for the job. ASE qualification advantageous. Shift Schedule Full Time, 38–42 hours per week. Days/hours: Monday–Friday, 8 am – 5 pm; rotating weekends depending on client needs.
