Job Summary:
An MRI Technologist position is available at a healthcare facility located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves providing advanced imaging services, including MRI procedures across various patient populations, in a busy hospital setting. The position requires flexibility to rotate shifts and includes comprehensive clinical responsibilities to support patient care and imaging safety.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week and 10 hours per shift.
• Required Qualifications: Valid ARRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 1 year of MRI experience (acute or outpatient settings).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with diverse patient types including pediatric and geriatric populations, proficiency in operating MRI equipment such as GE Cigna Artist 1.5 and MR 400 tele monitor, and familiarity with electronic medical records (EPIC preferred).
• Other Support and Technology: Support staff include MRI assistants and transporters, with offsite radiologist reading services available 24/7. Critical skills include patient positioning, contrast administration, MRI safety protocols, and handling Vented/ Critical Patients.
• Orientation: Up to 3 weeks of unit orientation for day shifts; one week for night shifts with alternating days and nights.
• On-Call and Weekend Expectations: One weekend per month with a response time of one hour; open to on-call responsibilities during holidays on an alternating schedule.
• Facility/Unit Information: Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, this non-trauma designated stroke center accommodates 25-30 patients daily, serving a diverse pediatric and geriatric population. The unit culture emphasizes punctuality, critical thinking, and patient safety.
• Additional Notes: Scrub color is black, parking is free, and the facility adheres to safety guidelines including MRI safety and patient handling protocols.
