RN Supervisor – House / Building Operations (Evenings) Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Direct Hire | On-Site Schedule: Evening Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Monday – Friday) An established, mission-driven healthcare and senior living organization in Connecticut is seeking an experienced, clinically sound RN Supervisor (Building Oversight) to manage overall clinical and operational workflow across the entire facility during the evening shift. Reporting to nursing administration, the Evening House RN Supervisor holds total shift command of building operations, clinical triage, and facility oversight from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Serving as the primary clinical leader on duty, you will ensure person-centered resident care, monitor nursing workflows across all units, guide charge nurses and CNAs, manage unexpected clinical emergencies, and maintain complete regulatory compliance across the facility. Key Responsibilities: Building-Wide Operational Leadership: Supervise and coordinate nursing operations across all facility units during the evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, M–F), ensuring high standards of clinical care and resident safety Triage & Emergency Command: Act as the primary clinical decision-maker for acute resident status changes, emergency hospital transfers, and facility-wide operational events during off-peak hours Comprehensive Facility Rounds: Conduct regular rounds through all clinical units to oversee evening nursing care delivery, medication administration, infection control practices, and chart documentation Shift Staffing & Resource Management: Adjust shift assignments and nurse-to-resident allocations dynamically to maintain adequate coverage and balance clinical workload demands Admissions & Shift Handoffs: Oversee evening admissions, room placements, and physician order entries in collaboration with floor nurses; conduct smooth change-of-shift reports with oncoming overnight leadership Mentorship & Accountability: Coach, support, and direct evening RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, modeling professional standards and fostering a collaborative team environment Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all clinical documentation adheres strictly to Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) and CMS guidelines; report major clinical or facility incidents promptly to administration Qualifications: Licensure: Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Connecticut Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of clinical nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), long-term care (LTC), or sub-acute rehabilitation environment Building Leadership Capabilities: Prior supervisory, house supervisor, unit manager, desk nurse, or charge nurse experience in a skilled nursing setting strongly preferred Clinical Prioritization & Autonomy: Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to make rapid, independent decisions under pressure across a multi-unit facility EMR Proficiency: High level of proficiency using Electronic Medical Record systems (e.g., PointClickCare) for clinical tracking, order processing, and incident reporting Benefits Health & Wellness Coverage: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans with robust employee well-being and support resources Retirement Plan with Match: Employer-sponsored 403(b) retirement plan offering Traditional and Roth options with a 100% match up to 2% of contributions (plus an additional 1% match potential based on eligibility) Paid Time Off (PTO): Generous accrued PTO program combining vacation, personal, and sick time, with accrual rates based on length of service Connecticut Paid Sick Leave: Accrues at 1 hour per 30 hours worked (up to 40 hours annually) Paid Holidays: 6 paid company holidays per year Tuition & Educational Support: Annual course and tuition reimbursement of up to $4,000 per year for eligible full-time employees Note on Compensation: The posted range per hour represents base rates for specialized nursing and supervisory positions.
