Immediate opening for an  Administrative Assistant in  San Jacinto, CA who possesses:

• Administrative, clerical, or office support experience
• Microsoft Word and Excel experience
• Data entry and customer service experience
• Ability to commit to 6 month temporary assignment

FULL DESCRIPTION:   We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide temporary administrative support to a Public Works Department. This temporary role is responsible for invoice routing and processing, entering and updating work orders, answering phones, providing customer service, assisting with general office and clerical duties, maintaining departmental records, and using Microsoft Office Suite for correspondence, spreadsheets, data entry, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have administrative or clerical experience, strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills, data entry experience, customer service skills, and the ability to support a fast-paced office environment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing temporary administrative support to the Public Works Department
• Routing and processing invoices
• Entering and updating work orders
• Answering phones and providing customer service
• Assisting with general office and clerical duties
• Maintaining and organizing departmental records
• Using Microsoft Office Suite for correspondence, spreadsheets, data entry, and other administrative tasks
• Supporting office workflow in a fast-paced department
• Maintaining accurate files, records, and documentation
• Communicating professionally with internal team members and external contacts
• Assisting with administrative projects as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned

The selected candidate will also possess:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Administrative, clerical, or office support experience required
• Microsoft Office experience required
• Microsoft Word experience required
• Microsoft Excel experience required
• Data entry experience required
• Customer service experience required
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
• Punctual and reliable work habits
• Ability to work onsite in San Jacinto, CA
• Ability to work Monday through Thursday, 8 hours per day
• Ability to support a 3 to 6 month temporary assignment
• Ability to complete client-conducted Live Scan requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while completing data entry, reviewing records, updating work orders, preparing correspondence, and working in Microsoft Office
• Ability to communicate by phone, email, and in person throughout the workday
• Ability to review invoices, work orders, department records, spreadsheets, correspondence, emails, and computer screens for extended periods
• Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, data entry, filing, scanning, documentation, and standard office tasks
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the office as needed
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move standard office files, documents, supplies, or small office materials

Salary Range: $22 to $26/hour
