Licensed Therapist

Licensed Therapist Position Summary Clinical assessments and provide therapy for children, adolescents affected by abuse/neglect, individuals, and family members with mental, emotional and addiction issues. Activities will include the provision of individual, family therapy, crisis intervention, targeted case management, client advocacy, court appearances, home visits, conducting clinical assessments, prevention, and education. Essential Functions Demonstrates understanding of the Department of Human Services. Intensive in-home therapy to maintain and stabilize a child’s permanency. Demonstrates understanding of the overall nature, course, and treatment of mental illness. Demonstrates knowledge of co-occurring illness process. Provide substance abuse treatment and education. Assist in formulating a service plan. Conduct problem solving in individual sessions to assist clients in addressing challenges such as domestic violence, trauma, anger and stress management, enhanced behavior management for children and youth, grief counseling, separation issues, and appropriate disciplinary techniques. Utilize an Electronic Medical Record for clinical documentation of each visit and contact and use evidence‑based practice modalities and clinical tools and curriculum. Serve as an advocate to acquire supportive services for clients. Must be able to document in BIRP format. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Fully licensed LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
