The Lynden Christian School Second Chance Retail Assistant is responsible for helping to carry out all retail operations in the store, including, but not limited to, creating a Christ centered environment, register operations, customer service, store appearance and displays, and volunteer interactions, as outlined in qualifications of the job and in compliance with company policies, procedures and mission statement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Committed Christian who is devoted to continued personal growth in relationship with the Lord.
• Must have a commitment to Christian education, LCS in particular, and the Second Chance mission.
• Must be a people person with a pleasant, willing to serve, attitude.
• Must have strong oral communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented with solid organizational and time management skills.
• Able to problem solve, work aggressively and independently.
• Currently enrolled in a High School

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide helpful, courteous service
• Assist shoppers in locating items and answer basic product questions
• Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately
• Organize and restock sales floor displays to maintain a clean and appealing store environment
• Assist with fitting rooms and return-to-floor procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, including sweeping, dusting, and general tidying
• Follow store policies and safety procedures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Use hands to lift, sort, clean, and organize throughout a standard workday.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to identify color.

SCHEDULE/HOURS

• Tuesday - Friday (3:30 – 5:30 ) and every other Saturday (9:30 – 5:30).
