The Medical Interpreter will provide accurate concepts and explanations with no additions or omissions, and according to conventions of established interpretation protocol. Successfully process and impart information swiftly, and relay intentions, emotions and tone in interpretations. Provides educational opportunities for staff.Position QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPreferred applicants have outstanding problem-solving skills, and have the ability to work to a high level of accuracyValid certificate of accredited interpreting trainingStrong work ethic, excellent communication skillsComputer skillsStrong communication skills. Ability to follow instruction under pressure, show compassion and empathyOutstanding listening, retention and note taking skillsProficient enunciation and pronunciation skills and pleasant professional voiceProficient understanding of cultural sensitivity and ability to collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
