Senior Accountant

Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible start between 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, 8 hour day Location: Phoenix, AZ We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s team on a contract to hire basis, with strong potential for long term growth & future advancement. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong foundation in general accounting, and brings advanced Excel skills. Key Responsibilities Lead and support a heavy month end close process Prepare and post journal entries with a high level of accuracy Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Maintain and analyze general ledger activity Utilize Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation support Assist with financial reporting and ensure accuracy of financial data Provide general accounting support across the team Complete ad hoc projects and other duties as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Minimum 3 years of senior experience Strong experience with month end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage and analyze large data sets Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Contract to hire role with long term career potential Clear path for growth within the finance organization, including progression to Assistant Controller or Controller level roles Exposure to core accounting operations and leadership responsibilities #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
