Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (L&D and Postpartum)

• Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients.
• Collaborate and establish a plan of care with involved disciplines.
• Implement and evaluate patient care plans, modifying based on reassessment.
• Complete all documentation according to established standards.
• Assess and implement individualized education plans for patients and families.
• Participate in departmental initiatives and provide in-service opportunities.
• Deliver age-appropriate care for specific populations served.
• Perform functions according to policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (L&D and Postpartum)

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
• At least 3 years of experience in OB, Postpartum, and/or L&D.
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required.
