Junior Software Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our growing development team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions using industry best practices and modern development methodologies. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will gain hands‑on experience building high‑quality applications while supporting customer requirements, product enhancements, and ongoing innovation initiatives. This position requires a strong foundation in C++ programming and a passion for learning new technologies. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, debug, and document software applications and enhancements under the guidance of senior engineers. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, implementation, testing, and deployment. Develop software solutions that meet customer requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards. Collaborate effectively within an Agile development team to deliver reliable and scalable software products. Contribute to product enhancements, new feature development, proof‑of‑concepts, and customer demonstrations. Troubleshoot software defects and assist in identifying and implementing corrective actions. Utilize source control, build automation, and issue‑tracking tools to support development activities. Apply emerging technologies, automation, and AI‑enabled tools to improve productivity, software quality, and development efficiency. Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance code quality, development processes, and team workflows. Develop technical expertise in assigned technologies and contribute knowledge to the broader engineering team. Maintain clear technical documentation and communicate project status effectively with stakeholders. Support cross‑functional teams including QA, Systems Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Support as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 0-2+ years of professional software development experience. Working knowledge of C++ programming and object‑oriented design principles. Experience using source control systems such as SVN (Subversion) . Familiarity with software development and project tracking tools such as Jira . Understanding of software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting methodologies. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing software on Windows, Linux, macOS, and/or embedded systems . Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio or similar integrated development environments (IDEs). Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Understanding of software architecture, networking concepts, or real‑time systems. Experience leveraging AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to improve productivity and code quality. #J-18808-Ljbffr
