Senior Software Engineer I

About the Position This position is performed by an experienced professional and will undertake difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line. The role provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross‑functional software products, works with stakeholders to translate user requests into solutions, mentors junior team members, and collaborates with others to talk to users/customers. Experience and Education 4+ years of Software Engineering experience BS in Engineering/Computer Science or Equivalent Responsibilities Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements. Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components. Complete complex bug fixes. Implement and guide ongoing continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices. Identify and fulfill operational requirements for logging, instrumentation, and alerting. Collaborate closely with development team members to translate product requirements into software designs. Apply coding best practices and conduct code reviews to ensure quality. Support less senior developers through mentoring and pair programming. Resolve complex intermediate technical issues as needed. Operate across development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. Technical Skills Proficiency with continuous software delivery practices. Intermediate knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). Intermediate proficiency in data manipulation languages and optimization techniques. Understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles. Experience with multiple data storage subsystems. Strong programming skills in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, Unix, and .NET. Knowledge of test‑driven development. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient research skills and familiarity with industry best practices. Pay Range U.S. National Base Pay Range: $86,600 – $144,400. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.
