Job ID: 114464 The Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems business is a trusted provider of innovative naval gas and hybrid power systems, control technology and support solutions for the U.S. Navy and navies around the world.Job SummaryJoin our Menomonee Falls, WI team as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer supporting production of power control and power conversion systems and subsystems for the US Navy.As a senior member of the team, you’ll play a key role in improving safety, quality, throughput, and cost while partnering closely with production, quality, supply chain, design engineering, and leadership. You’ll help bring new products into manufacturing, optimize existing processes, and mentor others through continuous improvement initiatives.What You Will DoSupport new product introduction by developing scalable, repeatable, and production-ready manufacturing methodsAnalyze production workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and throughputDevelop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, routings, PFMEAs, and control plansPartner with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and reduce recurring defectsEvaluate, select, and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment to improve manufacturabilityLead root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodsUse data to monitor process capability, identify trends, and recommend performance improvementsSupport capital projects, layout improvements, and line balancing effortsEnsure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety practicesMentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across manufacturing initiativesEducation & Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environmentStrong background in process development, continuous improvement, and manufacturing supportExperience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and process validationAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materialKnowledge of tooling, fixtures, assembly methods, and production equipmentExperience supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong communication, project management, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with ERP/MRP systems and standard engineering/manufacturing softwareWhy Join Us?Opportunity to make a direct impact on production performance and operational excellenceHigh-visibility role with strong cross-functional collaborationChallenging technical work with opportunities to lead improvements from concept through implementationSupportive team environment focused on innovation, quality, and continuous improvementCompetitive compensation and benefits packageU.S. Citizenship required.
