Associate Veterinarian

Introduction Our client is an animal hospital in Laurel, Mississippi, seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their growing team. This full-service companion animal practice provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats and is committed to strengthening the human-animal bond through exceptional veterinary medicine. Working Hours / Rota The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed on weekends, supporting work-life balance. Doctors take a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. There are no after-hours or weekend shifts required. Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered. Role Description and Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality care in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry. The caseload includes wellness visits, urgent care, diagnostics, and routine surgeries. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates seeking mentorship in a supportive and collaborative environment. Practice Details The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment, including radiology, in-house laboratory capabilities, and therapeutic laser technology. Services include preventative care, dental services, surgery, senior pet care, nutrition counseling, boarding, microchipping, urgent care, laser therapy, and hospice care. The clinic fosters a progressive, patient-focused environment dedicated to both pets and their families. Team The practice is home to seven DVMs, supported by a highly skilled and compassionate support staff. The environment is collaborative and mentoring-focused, offering a supportive culture for veterinarians at any stage of their career.
