Location: YOTEL Boston Position: Server Deck12 (Boston) Position Overview We are seeking full-time Servers who can work weekday and weekend shifts. Our Servers are responsible for greeting and serving YOTEL Boston’s guests in a genuine and friendly manner. Servers may be required to prepare beverages requested by guests and monitor guest behaviour and alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease; notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers; check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting alcoholic beverage service is questionable. YOTEL food and beverage department consists of lobby level Vela Restaurant and 12th floor level signature Deck 12 with one of the best views in the city. Major Duties & Responsibilities Adherence to all sanitation policies and protocols while embodying YOTEL Boston’s Food & Beverage concept, understanding how actions and execution directly affect the guest experience. Interact with guests while obtaining their orders and enter into POS for preparation. Full knowledge of the restaurant and bar menu, being able to answer all questions regarding the menus accurately. Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment, work area, dining room and bar. Abide by all State, Federal, and YOTEL Boston requirements pertaining to the serving of alcoholic beverages. Prepare workstation for readiness prior to opening and closing of each shift. Follow all cash handling and bank operating procedures. Perform all side‑work duties according to side‑work schedules. While interacting with guests inform them of enhancements to their dining experience. Restock items, return menus, and other equipment used throughout the shift so that the incoming shift is prepared for success. Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures. Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments. Attend training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated. Position Requirements Multiple years of serving experience with a strong cocktail knowledge base. Welcoming individual who enjoys genuine guest interactions. Ability to multitask while maintaining a sense of calm. Organizational skills are strongly preferred. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. What are YOTEL people like?
