FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Monday-Friday Position Summary The Buyer plays a key role within MultiCare’s supply chain, responsible for the procurement of materials and services across commodity groups. This dynamic position will offer you the ability to research, source, manage relationships and help define product standards. A team environment will support you to work collaboratively toward business facilitation and problem resolutions. Responsibilities You will purchase standardized supplies and parts at the lowest possible cost consistent with accepted standards of quality and service You will work in conjunction with departments to standardize product supplies, develop adequate stocking levels and manage consignment product lines in a fiscally responsible manner You will analyze trends in product supply requests to determine appropriate stocking location and facilitate changes as applicable You will assist in the negotiation with suppliers to obtain the most suitable materials at the lowest net cost Requirements Associate degree in business or related field preferred Minimum two (2) years of experience in supply chain purchasing and customer service About Capital Medical Center MultiCare Capital Medical Center is a 107-bed community hospital providing award-winning care to Olympia and surrounding communities. Pay and Benefit Expectations We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $30.40 - $43.75 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
