The Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative acts as the primary customer contact and is responsible for implementing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products as led by the District Manager.In this role, you will own the business within an assigned territory and develop strategies that expand appropriate patient access to Amgen therapies. You will have the opportunity to make a measurable impact for patients, customers, and the business while building your career with a global biotechnology leader.Basic Qualifications - Specialty Representative: Bachelor's Degree ORAssociate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience ORHigh school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experienceBasic Qualifications - Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience ORAssociate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience ORHigh school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experiencePreferred Qualifications:Five or more years of sales experience and a documented record of top performance within the biotechnology, surgical or medical device, hospital sales, or pharmaceutical industrySpecialty product, surgical or medical device, or hospital sales experience in one or more of the following areas: pulmonology, allergy, oncology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious or rare diseases, GI or any surgical specialtyKnowledge of the diseases, treatment pathways, and customer dynamics associated with these specialtiesExceptional drive, teamwork, communication, professionalism, and high emotional IQStrong knowledge of the local market and healthcare environmentBachelor’s degree in life sciences, business administration, communications, or a related fieldDemonstrated strength in Amgen’s core competencies:Planning and organizingLeveraging business, industry, and technical knowledgeCommunicating with impactDriving for resultsCultivating internal and external relationshipsThriveWhat you can expect of usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being. The expected annual salary range for Senior Specialty Representative in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $118,091- $159,771.
