Public Area Housekeeper (flex)

Public Area Attendant The Public Area Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the public spaces, restrooms, meeting and back‑of‑house areas, according to company procedures and at a level that meets or exceeds company standards. Core Responsibilities: Clean and maintain the areas according to company standards Respect guest privacy and belongings, report any left behind items accordingly Organize and stock cart Clean public areas and office space as necessary Complete assigned paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion Work in the laundry while waiting on rooms or as needed Able to identify BBP and safely address concerns Notify supervisor and engineering of any malfunction or areas of need in a guest room or public area Complete tasks, checklists, and guest requests timely and accurately Resolve related issues in the best manner possible, escalates when necessary Able to follow property safety and security procedures Perform other tasks as reasonable requests are assigned or directed Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning spills or executing special guest requests Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies: High work ethic and self‑initiative Regular attendance according to established guidelines May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times Physical Requirements: Quickly and thoroughly perform cleaning duties in guest rooms, spending approximately 25 minutes per guest room, and cleaning approximately 16-18 rooms per shift Sit, stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning requirements Climb stairs Inspect rooms for cleanliness and immediately report guest belongings that have been left behind Lift approximately thirty (50) pounds of equipment or supplies using safe lifting techniques Push heavy carts, approximately one hundred (100) pounds Good communication skills, both written and verbal, using written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability Direct evacuations in an emergency Minimum Qualifications: High school degree or equivalent work experience Related experience with physical labor Hospitality experience strongly preferred Able to read, write and communicate to safely perform the work This job description is not an exhaustive list of all job functions that are required of an employee in this position.
