**Job Description****Harborview Rehabilitation Medicine** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Patient Services Specialist 2.** **WORK SCHEDULE*** Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week)* Day Shift* Mondays- Fridays* No Telework/On-site**DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION**The Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic at Harborview Medical Center offers comprehensive care for adults recovering from spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, amputations and COVID-19. We offer follow-up care for UW Medicine patients discharged from our acute care and rehabilitation unit.We also offer post-COVID rehabilitation and recovery care for patients who have recovered from an active infection of COVID-19 but continue to have lingering symptoms.Patients are the center of our multidisciplinary team. Care team members include doctors who specialize in rehabilitation medicine (physiatrists), rehabilitation nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists, patient care coordinators, therapeutic recreation specialists, vocational rehabilitation counselors, rehabilitation psychologists and social workers.**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS*** Conveniently located near public transportation* Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve* Opportunity to provide career growth**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*** Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging* Scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments* Obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information* Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery* Other duties as requested**REQUIREMENTS*** High school graduation or equivalent* AND* One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience* OR* An equivalent combination of education/experience* Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration**ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER**As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
