Job Description Job Title: Emergency Room Technician Location: Flushing, NY 11355 Duration: 2 Months Shift: 7:00 am - 3:15 pm (includes a 45-minute break) Department: Emergency Room Overview A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Technician for a 59-day assignment. The technician will provide basic patient care and assist with daily living activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The position requires working Monday through Friday, with every other weekend required. Key Responsibilities Patient Care: Provide basic patient care, including assistance with daily living activities. Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record vital signs, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. Telemetry Surveillance: Monitor telemetry equipment to track patients' heart rhythms. EKG Performance: Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as needed. Glucose Monitoring: Conduct glucose tests using finger stick methods. Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Emergency Department Technician or equivalent. Certification: EKG/Arrhythmia certificate required (preferred). Preferred Qualifications: Medical Technician certificate Nursing Attendant certification At least 1 year of experience as an EKG Technician, Nursing Attendant, or equivalent. #J-18808-Ljbffr 6AM City, LLC
