We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll across multiple states and to be the go-to expert for our field teams and corporate staff, from wage and hour compliance to system reporting. Prior payroll experience is a plus, but not required - this is for a leader who takes ownership, is eager to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Payroll Processing Process accurate and timely biweekly payroll for employees across multiple states. Enter, maintain, and process information in Paycom, including new hire information, hourly rates, salaries, bonuses, driver maintenance reimbursements, tips, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information. Issue or reissue physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge. Compliance & Deductions Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and tax regulations. Maintain and audit payroll records, including direct deposits, deductions, and tax withholdings. Process wage garnishments, levies, and other court-ordered deductions in compliance with federal and state regulations; ensure timely and accurate withholding and remittance. Accounting & Reconciliation Upload and post payroll journal entries to the General Ledger in Sage, ensuring accuracy and proper account coding. Collaborate with the HR and Accounting teams to ensure employee changes and payroll data are correctly captured and reconciled. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies quickly and professionally. Employee Support & Special Projects Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and HR. Assist with special projects such as process improvements, system implementations, compliance updates, policy documentation, and year-end processing. Perform other duties as assigned.
