Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,525 per week

Job Summary Fusion Medical Staffing-Cardio is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Orlando, Florida. The role involves providing advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. Job Details Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week Shift: 12‑hour nights Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples Treat patients through methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient receives the correct oxygen level Observe and record patient status and progress Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care Educate patients and/or family members on medication and equipment use Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications ACLS or PALS Certification (AHA/ARC) Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Essential Work Functions Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples Treat patients through various methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient is receiving the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate Observe and record patient status and progress Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care Educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal Skills – Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills – Must be able to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment Mental Requirements – Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; work under close supervision occasionally and without assistance from other personnel; accommodate irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration to detail Sensory – Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1560 hours Life and short‑term disability offered 401(k) matching Aggressive refer‑a‑friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Other Duties Disclaimer To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
