Job Details Job Location: Timbrook GMC - Cumberland, MD 21502 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $15.00 - $35.00 Base+Commission/month Overview We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician (A Tech) to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic and repair skills, a solid work ethic, and the ability to efficiently perform high-quality work in a fast-paced dealership environment. GM diesel experience is preferred. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns accurately Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs according to manufacturer standards Perform engine, transmission, suspension, brake, steering, HVAC, and electrical repairs Utilize diagnostic equipment and service information systems effectively Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation Conduct multi-point inspections and communicate recommended repairs Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and organized work area Work collaboratively with service advisors and team members Other duties as assigned by management Benefits Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications Full time position with growth potential Health, dental, and vision insurance Voluntary benefits Retirement savings plan with company match Paid time off and holidays Employee Discounts A supportive, team-based environment and strong leadership Qualifications Previous experience as an Automotive Service Technician required A-Level technician skills and experience preferred GM experience strongly preferred GM diesel experience preferred ASE certifications are a plus Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Ability to use scan tools and computerized diagnostic equipment Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in a shop environment Valid driver’s license and clean driving record If you are a motivated technician looking to grow your career with a professional automotive team, we encourage you to apply today.
