Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in the specified area. This role involves providing high-quality patient care within the IMCU setting, utilizing nursing expertise, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and following established protocols to ensure optimal outcomes. The assignment is scheduled for nights with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on October 5, 2026, and ending on January 4, 2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Illinois Nursing License, CPR certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, graduated from an accredited nursing program; education verification required
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care based on individual needs, including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to support other units/departments and ensures patient safety and experience are prioritized by escalating issues appropriately.
