HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT Your Role: Responsible for clinical and personnel management in addition to being clinically proficient in-patient care. Responsible for efficient and cost-effective allocation of resources. Leads, mentors, and role models for other health care team members; supervises directly RN/Clinical Nurses NAC, RN/Flex Staff Nurses NAC, Licensed Practical Nurses NAC, and Patient Care Assistants. Derives and validates diagnoses; identifies expected outcomes; develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans; and evaluates progress toward outcomes attainment. Uses evidence-based practices and information technologies while focusing on providing comfort, relieving pain, and alleviating anxiety. Initiates and implements new knowledge of nursing practice changes that are evidence based. Participates in and assists staff members with completing ongoing unit-based competencies. Respects patients’ rights, dignity, values, confidentiality, and expressed needs; integrates ethics in all practice areas. Holds self and others accountable for adherence to conduct standards, policies, and procedures. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity. Demonstrates integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence (I CARE values). Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients. Reports To: RN/Nurse Manager (Job Code (JC): 031001) Supervises: RN/Clinical Nurse NAC [Non-Acute Care] (JC: 130203) RN/Flex Staff Nurse NAC (JC: 130403) Licensed Practical Nurse NAC (JC: 040704) Patient Care Assistant (JC: 075305) WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required Experience: Two (2) to five (5) years experience as a Registered Nurse Required Certification/License/Registry: Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure]. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited American Heart Association (AHA) instructor.
