Shipping Clerk

Job Description Job Description Great manufacturing company in Ontario is seeking aShipping & Receiving Clerk. Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:3PM Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 p/h DOE Location: Ontario, CA Duties and Responsibilities: Works with production control and other departments to coordinate daily shipments. Obtains quotes for domestic and international shipments for sales department. Sets up shipping coordination and forwarders as needed for customers’ orders. Responsible for using and inputting into Shipping Computer System (STARSHIP). Uses a forklift and/or other equipment to load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner. Responsible for physically preparing shipment orders, re-packaging, labeling, etc. Verify inbound shipments to ensure total quality and accuracy. Receives and puts away raw material and finished goods into rack locations. Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse area. Responsible for maintaining adequate supply of shipping and receiving supplies. Assists in supporting warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency. Supports a culture of safety, urgency, accountability, and teamwork. Qualifications: High School diploma Forklift certification Knowledge of working with ERP system such as SAGE Must work well in team environment Must have good communication skills Must possess a high level of accuracy At least 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving process International Shipping experience preferred Hazardous Material handling experience preferred Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
