Back Toolmaker / Tool & Die Professional Direct Hire May 28, 2026 HTI is hiring an experienced Toolmaker for a growing manufacturing company in the Greenville, SC area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled trades professional who enjoys hands‑on machining, tooling repair, and custom fabrication work in a stable industrial environment with long‑term growth potential. If you have strong manual machining experience and enjoy solving tooling and production challenges, we want to hear from you. What You’ll Do Maintain and repair stamping dies, punch dies, and roll‑form tooling Build, modify, and troubleshoot tooling, fixtures, jigs, and gauges Operate manual lathes, mills, surface grinders, CNC mills, and Wire EDM equipment Read blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and gauges Support production tooling projects and die changeovers Diagnose tooling failures and implement corrective improvements Perform tooling fabrication, repair, and preventative maintenance Work closely with production and maintenance teams to support uptime and efficiency What You Need 3+ years of Tool & Die or toolroom experience preferred Strong manual machining background required Experience operating manual lathes and mills CNC mill experience preferredWire EDM experience preferred Ability to read blueprints and perform precision measurements Experience building or repairing tooling, fixtures, and jigs Technical school or machining education preferred, but not required Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a skilled trades team Schedule 1st Shift Starting at $29/hr Typical hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Flexible/staggered start times available Overtime opportunities available, including rotating Saturdays Work Environment Manufacturing and toolroom environment Current facility transitioning into a newer, more modern facility later this year Stable company with strong tooling and production operations Opportunity to work on both repair work and new tooling projects Why This Opportunity Stands Out Variety of work — not repetitive production machining Hands‑on custom tooling and project work Opportunity to expand both manual and CNC machining skills Stable manufacturing environment with long‑term growth potential Work alongside experienced toolmakers and skilled trades professionals HTI is proud to partner with this growing manufacturer to find skilled Toolmakers ready to make an impact.
