About the Team
The Fraud team is responsible for reducing fraud losses and protecting the integrity of the platform. This team develops fraud prevention strategies, identifies emerging fraud trends, and partners across the organization to create scalable solutions that balance customer experience with risk mitigation. The team supports multiple user groups, including consumers, service providers, and merchants, while helping drive growth in new business areas and international markets.
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations - Fraud will lead strategic initiatives focused on fraud prevention, fraud analytics, and operational excellence. This role combines business strategy, data analysis, and cross-functional leadership to identify fraud risks, investigate emerging abuse patterns, and implement scalable solutions that reduce losses while supporting business growth.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver with strong analytical skills, experience leading strategic initiatives, and the ability to influence stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, and Leadership teams.

Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations - Fraud will lead strategic initiatives focused on fraud prevention, fraud analytics, and operational excellence. This role combines business strategy, data analysis, and cross-functional leadership to identify fraud risks, investigate emerging abuse patterns, and implement scalable solutions that reduce losses while supporting business growth.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver with strong analytical skills, experience leading strategic initiatives, and the ability to influence stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, and Leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute fraud prevention strategies across multiple business lines, products, and customer segments.
- Analyze fraud trends, user behavior, and emerging fraud vectors to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Conduct end-to-end investigations into fraud patterns and platform abuse to improve detection and prevention capabilities.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, and Risk teams to design and implement fraud controls and strategic initiatives.
- Lead the development of scalable fraud solutions that protect the platform while maintaining a positive user experience.
- Establish performance metrics, monitor fraud-related KPIs, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Drive experimentation and data-driven decision making through testing, measurement, and optimization of fraud prevention strategies.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
- Support business expansion initiatives by evaluating fraud risks associated with new products, services, and markets.
- Present recommendations and strategic insights to executive stakeholders.
- 6+ years of experience in fraud strategy, operations, analytics, consulting, business operations, technology, risk management, or related fields.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional projects and delivering measurable business results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions.
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Operations teams.
- Direct people leadership and team management experience.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Experience in fraud prevention, Trust & Safety, marketplace risk, payments, e-commerce, fintech, or subscription-based businesses.
- Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and fraud analytics.
- Knowledge of consumer fraud, merchant fraud, account takeover (ATO), refund abuse, promotions abuse, and marketplace integrity.
- Experience building scalable fraud detection and prevention programs.
- Familiarity with international markets and platform-based business models.
