Job Overview We are seeking a new Transportation Resident Engineer to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. The successful candidate will work as a member of a multidisciplinary infrastructure solutions team, managing transit, roadway and related projects in the Chicagoland area. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily roadway rehabilitation construction activities and ensure compliance with the project’s specifications, timeline and budget. Serve as the project’s point of contact and coordinate with owner, contractors and other stakeholders to progress the project and resolve issues. Address and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process. Manage a team of field inspectors to assign daily tasks and oversee documentation processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management. Professional Engineer in Illinois. 5‑10 years of overall transportation/construction management experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams and roadway construction projects as a licensed Resident Engineer. Willingness to work in various weather conditions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong team‑player mindset with clear written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree(s). CM certification. PMP certification.
