Catering Staff-Event

The Catering Staff supports the Catering Department through the optimal execution of catered events to ensure a positive experience for all associated with events in order to further the Broward Center's image as a premier performing arts center.

Essential functions include delivering premiere customer service to all guests, following established catering procedures, and supporting the success of all catering events. Responsibilities also include assisting in pre and post event set up and break down, delivering orders to guests' tables, filling in as needed to ensure smooth operation, checking patrons' identification, ensuring clients are enjoying their event experience, following dress code, following department procedures, requesting additional information when needed, clocking in and out, reading and implementing menu contracts, initiating resolution to client issues, attending necessary meetings, maintaining knowledge of policies and procedures, and completing additional responsibilities as assigned.

Core competencies include customer focus, teamwork, and accountability.

Knowledge and abilities include maintaining regular attendance, working with minimal supervision, lifting and carrying heavy items, working independently and as part of a team, cross training in other food and beverage jobs, exhibiting professional demeanor, and working effectively with others.

Desired education and experience includes a high school diploma or equivalent.
